Polk County Bully Project is a rescue organization with a small shelter that works to find forever homes for pit bulls. Through local adoption and rescue partnerships, the Bully Project gives these dogs their chance at a happily ever after.
We love welcoming the Bully Project puppies on campus to serve as buddy readers to our Kindergarten and 1st grade students. Through their Compassion Project, our 2nd graders not only learn to sew, but learn to care for the animals in our community by donating the quilts they sew to the adoptable animals at the Bully Project. In addition to the quilts, our 2nd graders raise money be selling Denim Day passes to our Rochelle family. The money they raise is then donated to help the animals.
